Chesney-Kleinjohn Housing, Inc. 

In May, 1996, we opened our flagship development - Chesney-Kleinjohn Apartments at 10th & Washington in Denver's Capitol Hill.  This stately, 17-unit complex has now serves as homes to more than 36 people who otherwise might not have been able to to afford one.

The tenants at Chesney-Kleinjohn have included single men, single mothers with children, a grandmother with custody of two grandchildren and a married couple.  The need for affordable housing for people with HIV crosses all boundaries.

Some of the successes of the Chesney-Kleinjohn Apartments:

•  Location to transportation, support services and health care
•  Effective property and asset management
•  Strong relationships with service providers

These apartments service as a national model for how to successfully address the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS.
